Feed the Hungry

At our church, we are deeply committed to addressing hunger and supporting those in need through our “Feed the Hungry” initiative. We partner with several key organizations in Howard County to make a significant impact on local food security.

One of our primary partners is the SHARE Food Network, a community-based organization that provides nutritious food to individuals and families facing food insecurity. By working with SHARE, we help distribute essential groceries and meals to those in need, ensuring that our neighbors have access to healthy and nourishing food.

We also collaborate with the Howard County Food Bank, which plays a crucial role in alleviating hunger in our community. The Food Bank supplies food to various local agencies and programs, including pantries and shelters. Our church supports these efforts through food drives, volunteer work, and fundraising activities to help stock the Food Bank’s shelves and reach more individuals in need.

Another important partner is Howard County Grass Roots Crisis Intervention Center, which provides emergency shelter and support services for individuals and families in crisis. We assist Grass Roots by contributing food donations, organizing meal services, and supporting their comprehensive approach to addressing both immediate and long-term needs.

Through these partnerships, our “Feed the Hungry” initiative reflects our commitment to serving our community with compassion and practical support. We invite members of our congregation and the wider community to join us in this mission, whether through volunteering, donating food and resources, or participating in fundraising events. Together, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing hunger and to uphold our shared values of care, service, and generosity.
