Locust United Methodist Church is a caring place, where ALL are welcome!
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:24-25
At Locust UMC, small groups are BIG! We believe your faith is nurtured through small groups. The Christian way was always to be lived out in community with others. Small groups are a great way to get connected with others in the faith community.
The primary purpose of small groups is faith formation and disciple making. Regardless of their stated identity, task, and purpose, small groups are places where members can grow spiritually and become equipped for their own ministry in day-to-day life, whatever that ministry may be.
Here at Locust UMC, we have a long tradition of small group formation as a place where people gather on a regular basis to connect with others and to support, encourage and challenge each other as they take their faith journey together. Small groups gather together for Christian fellowship through learning, serving, and sharing.
Locust UMC seeks to offer people opportunities to grow as Christian disciples through small group bible study classes, Sunday school classes for all ages, and fellowship breakfast gatherings. Additional small groups are launched periodically to involve the entire congregation and community.
