Blessings During this Holy Season!
Join Us at Locust UMC
Dear Friends in Christ,
As we move through this sacred season of Advent towards the celebration of Christmas Day, we are reminded of the grace that has carried us through another year. This is a time not only to rejoice in the birth of our Savior but also to prepare ourselves for Christ's return, living as faithful stewards of His love and light.
This year, Locust United Methodist Church has exemplified what it means to be a faithful community of believers. We have dedicated ourselves to spreading the Good News, advancing the Kingdom of God, and practicing the disciplines of spiritual formation. These efforts have not only enriched our own faith journeys but have also made a tangible impact on our community and brought honor to God.
Our journey has been marked by significant milestones:
In addition, I want to personally extend a heartfelt thank you to all who gave so graciously to our building project. Your generosity has been a testament to your faith and commitment to the future of our church. Through your gifts, we have been able to create a space that will serve our congregation and community for years to come. For those who have not yet had the opportunity to give, we invite you to join us in this transformative work. Your support will help us continue to build on the strong foundation of faith and service that defines Locust United Methodist Church.
Even as we reflect on these accomplishments, we recognize that our mission continues. For over 157 years, Locust United Methodist Church has been a beacon of faith and hope. This legacy of service and devotion will carry on long after the Christmas lights are taken down, as we strive to fulfill God’s vision for our church - to grow spiritually, build our congregation, and steward our resources faithfully.
May this Advent and Christmas season renew your hope and deepen your faith. Let us celebrate the gift of Christ’s birth and recommit ourselves to His mission, knowing that the work of His Kingdom is far from finished.
Blessings to you and your loved ones during this holy season and beyond.
In Christ's Love,
Rev. Marion Easterling, M.Div.
Senior Pastor of Locust United Methodist Church
